After our time on the coast we had just enough time to unpack, do some quick loads of laundry, repack and set off early the next morning for Thanksgiving on the farm. We put some miles on the van and the kids were sure glad to get out and play!
There was barely enough snow to shovel and sled, but the cousins didn't let that stop them! Grandpa Larry was happy to pull them back up to the top of the hill too!
Then they discovered the ice on the reservoir! Oh, what fun!
Logan would have happily rode on the "4-leeler" the entire time. He didn't care who drove, as long as he got to ride.
It isn't Thanksgiving on the farm if a bit of hunting isn't included. Ryan enjoyed some successful pheasant hunting and Lane was excited to be old enough to trek along beside Daddy.
The clay pigeons made an appearance and the brothers took turns with the pistols.
There were some fun things going on inside as well. Kyla put together some yummy pies. She was much more patient than I and allowed Morgan to get in on the action. I didn't get too many pictures inside but we had lovely meals and none of us went away hungry!
We enjoyed a surprise visit when Ryan's cousin Lyle and his family stopped by for dinner on Friday. It was very nice to have a few hours to catch up with them before they headed on the next leg of their trip.
We missed having Aleta's and Russell's families with us but hopefully it will work out to all be together this summer!
