Not far from here, there are some smaller lakes that are packed with little sun fish, perch and bass that make for the perfect conditions for 'kid fishing.' In other words, bait a hook with a worm, add a bobber, toss it in, watch it sink and then reel like mad. The kids had great fun!
Logan turned his hat to shade his face and it stayed that way. He got the hang of the fishing and would holler, "Fish on!" while trying to reel as fast as he could. A couple times he made us all laugh when the fish would get off and he would holler "Fish off!"
The front of the boat can fit them all...barely.
The other excitement was watching a helicopter load it's bucket not far from our fishing spot, although that osprey wasn't too pleased by the interruption. We have been incredibly dry this spring and the snow in the mountains is basically gone already so conditions are ripe for fires. It looked like this was a logging operation who's controlled burn got away from them.
Lane did hook into a decent sized large mouth bass. He was very pleased to haul in the 'catch-of-the-day!"

Looks like a great day for a fishing trip! Beautiful pictures!
