President's Day

On President's Day I had, yet another, doctors appointment.  Both Ryan and the kids had the day off school so we decided to play tourist in the city after my appointment.

Don't feel bad that they had to patiently wait for Mommy to be done.  Daddy spoiled them all with hot chocolates and a treat at the little coffee shop in the clinic!

Of course, February isn't really the height of the tourist season so several of the usual kid friendly locales were closed but we enjoyed meandering our way through Riverfront Park.  There was plenty to keep us smiling!
The extra large Radio Flyer Wagon slide is still quite entertaining.

The upper falls were flowing rather nicely.  Logan doesn't like sun in his eyes.  The rest if us were enjoying soaking up some of the sun's warmth.  There's nothing like a warmish, spring-like sunny day to raise your spirits!  It makes one forget that we may still have another month or so of winter ahead of us!

The one ride that was open was the gondolas across the lower falls.  We got a kick out of the eddy that was full of sticks, basketballs and other playground balls.  They just kept bobbing around in a circle and we all wondered if they ever popped out?  Maybe only to be replaced by more?

 All smiles in the gondola.

The passengers on the other side.

It was so nice to see the sun!  A lovely day to be together!
