Morgan stepped outside this morning in her short sleeves (I had to convince her we wouldn't be needing a coat today), stopped, and looked up at me with wide eyes and exclaimed, "Mommy, it's SPRING!" and Lane chimed in, "FINALLY!"
Yes, indeed! Spring has finally come to our valley. The leaves are taking full advantage of the warm sun we've seen the last couple of days and are starting to pop out. The landscape is taking on a greener hue and while we're still waiting for blossoms and bulbs to bravely show themselves, the warmth alone is enough to make you grin!
And run around with complete abandon! Spring is here!
On Saturday, Don and Darlene met us at the lake for a picnic. The kids loved reacquainting themselves with the beach. Daddy and Don took on kid patrol and Darlene and I chatted and soaked in the sun.
Take a beach full of rocks, add a few kids (of all ages), a generous helping of sunshine and you end up with pure fun!
