11 Years Together

Back in the middle of July, Ryan and I celebrated 11 years of marriage.  We were hoping to mark it with a hike while we were in Banff National Park in Canada.  Instead, we arrived at the trail head to see a sign set up in the middle of the trail with a big photo of a grizzly bear.  If that wasn't enough to deter us, the $5,000 fine for hiking in groups of less than 4 certainly was!

All was not lost.  My parents kept the kids on a couple different occasions so we could have some time together.  It was nice to just enjoy alone time while the kids were having a great time with Bumpa and Grammy.  

Moraine Lake - This is the area where we were planning to hike.  We still explored around the lake a bit but we will definitely have to head back someday.  There are some neat hikes above the lake.  What a beautiful area!
