The 4th of July Weekend

This heat wave we've been having warmed the lake up to late summer temperatures.  It was pushing 80 degrees in the water and the high 90's outside. Usually this time of year, the water temps are hovering in the 60's and you occasionally see a brave soul swimming around.  This year, everyone was in the water.  It was fabulous!

Randy and Alison spent the weekend with us and we spent a couple days playing in the water.
The kids were all brave enough to ride the tube without an adult on with them.

 There go the big kids.

When not tubing, Lane had a fishing pole in his hand.  He's got those bass figured out!

Morgan tried out her new snorkeling gear and once she figured out how to use it she paddled all over the place.

Happy cousins ready to call it a day!

Kyla pulled out the Go-Pro on the 4th.  I'm sure it was some interesting footage.(:

The beach was a beehive of activity on the 4th.  We even got visited by a pirate ship!

 People everywhere...

Geoff, Jocelyn and Bumpa joined us for the afternoon and evening at some of our friend's cabin.  Geoff gave rides to the kids, here are Logan and Milan.

Colter got a kick out of the kayaks.
My lovely sis-in-law with her sweet little munchkin.

The guys found some hungry fish beneath the docks.  Here are Cole and Lane with the haul.

The whole group (minus Cole) before setting off into the sunset to watch the fireworks!
