We had a grand time celebrating Dad's retirement at a lovely shindig thrown by his staff. Despite the drizzle, stories flew, many a laugh was had and all seemed to enjoy helping Dad fondly remember the 40 years he spent as a teacher and then administrator.
The guest of honor surrounded by his staff members and wife. It was fun to see many who had taught me when I was going through school.
These three grand kids provided a side show by ignoring all the talking and playing in puddles on the tables and chairs.
His staff sure knows what he enjoys! (The cake was made by one of the staff members.)
No one reads Dr. Seuss like Bumpa.
