We Saw the Sun!

Sunny, warmish days have been few and far between so we sure enjoyed Saturday!  Even better?  We got to share it with Randy and Alison and their kiddos.

Morgan loved hanging out with her big cousin Kyla.  She loved being mothered and Kyla seemed quite content to provide the mothering.

The big fascination was our seasonal creek.  They begged for the adults (any adult!) to please come with them so they could play down there.  And they took full advantage when we finally made our way out.

This was her first set of clothes ... before she took a face plant into the mucky grass as she was running off the bridge.  At least it wasn't in the creek itself!

Colter, Maya and Morgan checking out the water bugs Kyla was catching for them.  Or maybe it was salamander eggs?  Or slime?  They found all sorts of interesting things.  As in, "Oh, lovely!  Why don't we leave it outside?"  I know, I know, mommas aren't any fun.

Here you get the idea.  It was a beehive of activity.

Uncle Randy reliving his childhood days (in his words) and giving Morgan a few pointers.

A boy and his stick.  Really, that's all that is needed to keep him occupied for hours.

And this post wouldn't be complete without a picture of sweet little Melita.  Somehow, this is the only one I took.

We're glad you came, Uncle Randy, Auntie Alison, and kiddos!

  1. Oh such fun! Thanks for sharing. Good to see all the cousin's enjoying time together. Way to use the sling Ryan. Monte is getting so heavy now, Keith prefers the sling over the regular hip hold any day!
