Fall Days

Some random pictures from the past few weeks:

Our garden wasn't much but it did produce some pumpkins this year (and loads of potatoes but not much else).  The kids can't wait to carve jack-o-lanterns.

What our yard seems to be VERY good at producing are very BIG wasp nests (although I'm not sure this picture does it justice).  After shaking it around a bit, Daddy discovered that this one still had live bees in it and they weren't very happy to be shaken.  We quit admiring the thing and Daddy took care of it.

If your own garden doesn't produce much, it's good to have a play date at one that does!  While she bills it as a pumpkin patch, the lady who runs this farm grows quite a bit more than just pumpkins.  She was amazingly patient with six excited children running around.

 Hmmm...does this thing taste any good?  Meanwhile, Morgan's giving me the "enough already!" look.

Morgan found a little perch from which to watch the rest of her play date friends.  Every once in a great while she does run out of energy.
.
 In case you were wondering, we now know where she gets her energy from.(;
It was extra special to get a day with Uncle Randy, Auntie Alison and kids on our way home from Grandpa Clarence's funeral.  Thanks RAKCMM!

Happy Fall!
