A Casting Clinic

Logan now has his own fishing pole (his Daddy finally gave in).  A brand new Lightning McQueen pole complete with a flashing reel and a tire tied onto the end.  He's ecstatic.

Can't you tell?

Ryan has been a bit hesitant to add another pole to the mix.  He has had visions of massive tangles, errant casts, and not much actual fishing.  It's easy to understand why he's been holding Logan off.  Logan, however, is not one to be held off.  He wants to be just like his big brother and his big brother casts his own fishing pole.  So he kept after his Daddy until his Daddy heaved a big sigh and gave in.

Logan was so excited to get his new pole that he started 'casting' (I use the term quite loosely) as soon as the pole came out of its packaging.  Of course that meant that the other two needed their poles as well.  So Ryan held an impromptu casting clinic out in the yard - complete with Frisbee targets for the older kids to aim at.

Here's a video of the ensuing mayhem.  You can see why Ryan's a bit concerned letting Logan loose on the boat...the boat is not nearly big enough for Logan's victory laps.(:

  1. Wow That looks like fun until the hooks get on then it's "BE CAREFUL" They do a very good job of casting though. Your little fisherman should keep you well supplied with fish.
