Grandpa & Grandma's

After Christmas we packed up and made the trek to Omak to meet all the cousins.  We all had a great time together.

There was lots of gift excitement!

Logan is very pleased with it all.

We also got in another ski trip.  This time they got to ski with their cousins.   Here's a picture at the top with all the cousins that went. This was the local hill that Jeannie grew up skiing on. Geoff and I were riding up the chair with Morgan and Sidney, trying to recount one of Jeannie's memorable moments where she jumped out of a chair or fell off......I couldn't remember for sure and Geoff was having a hard time remembering as well but we were trying to explain it best we could to the girls.....suddenly it was time to get off, only problem was Morgan stayed on.  We looked over head to see her pass by unsure of what was going to happen next.   The lift operator had experience with this sort of thing though and got the lift stopped over an area she could jump off into some soft snow.  It all turned out fine and now she'll have her own story to tell......give it a few years and it should grow into something pretty good.

Lining up for the lift ride.

Something I've enjoyed doing this holiday is looking for the "Jeannie" traits in the kids.  They all have some of her personality and it's a bright spot in the day when I see those traits come through.

  1. It was a special time all being back together at Mom and Pops! Love seeing the cousins all together. Skiing was a lot of fun, it was special for Kris, Geoff and I to ski a run with Lane and teach him to airplane just like his Mama used to do on that hill. Lots of good memories on that little hill!! And once we remembered the story of Jeannie and the pomma lift and the ski patrol, it was another good memory and laugh!! Morgan definitely has her own story!! I too love seeing the bits of Bean that are a part of each of your 3. Lets ski again President's Weekend in February at 49? Lots of love from Auntie Laurie
