Our friends Don and Darlene have been wanting us to join them at their beach house on the Oregon Coast and so we used the long weekend as a get-away. Josh and Andrea and their 3 boys met us there too. We packed all sorts of activities in and loved watching our kiddos discover the wonder of the coast.
The aquarium and tide pools were an absolute hit. Think squealing, excited children and adults doing their best to keep up and you get the idea.
Seals and sea lions were definitely the favorites - most likely because they put on a show right in front of the boys.
Hands-on makes it even better, although the poor volunteers were cringing as they kept reminding the kiddos to BE GENTLE!
Lane loved the crabs - these ones were tiny hermit crabs that you can't even see in the picture.

Another installment coming as soon as I have time to wade through the last of the 200+ pictures we took. I'm feeling a bit like my mother who was infamous for taking billions of pictures...at least I don't have to wait weeks to get my dozen rolls of film developed.(:
