A Week with Bumpa and Grammy

As is becoming a summer tradition, the kids and I left Daddy at home (some one's gotta keep the bacon coming!) and headed to Bumpa and Grammy's for a few days of fun in the sun, as well as quite a bit of spoiling (fruit snacks! Capri suns! CHOCOLATE! Waaayyyy out of date graham crackers...hmm, I think I got mom beat on that score!).

The crocodile pool provided much entertainment before it met its demise.  A very windy afternoon was more than it could handle.

But the wind didn't stop the kids.  Lane discovered Bumpa's kite and was in seventh heaven...

flying a kite on a fishing pole - how can it get any better?(:

Morgan even got to fly Lane's kite with a little help (it helped he was preoccupied with Bumpa's kite).  Good thing she had help as she had trouble remembering to hold on.

Lane started out a bit tentative in the big pool - didn't want Grammy too far away.

Until he discovered his fish ring.  Then he was quite pleased to go his own way.

However, Morgan didn't want to leave the edge of the pool.  Apparently our little daredevil does have some limits!

Buckets and water and life is good!
