Spring Clean-up

We're putting in an order for more days just like yesterday ... sunny and 50 degrees.  Ahhh, spring is coming ... finally!  We abbreviated nap/quiet time (except for Logan who cooperated and took a nice long nap!) and spent as much time as possible outside.  The kids had a ball 'helping' us get a start on some spring clean-up.  We were a little surprised to realize, now that Lane is 4-years old (in his own words), he really is a help!

Lane discovered that if you flip a rake over and then push, it does an excellent job moving pine cones.

He was a little trooper and helped make several piles, Daddy-sized all the way down to Logan-sized!

Morgan helped too.  She was just a bit, well, s-l-o-w-e-r.

Her mode of clean-up definitely didn't set any records but she was happy discovering all the ins and outs of pine cones.

"Mommy, pine cones are po-kie."
"Oh?"
"Yes, Mommy.  And they smell."
"What do they smell like, Morgan?"
"Pine cones."
